  antibiotics only work it's bacteria infection. it won't work on viral infection. If it doesn't work, it's most likely viral. You smoke don't you? May be cut down the smoking and drinking for the moment

  think in singapore doctor has to worry about dengue fever. think that's probably why doctor wants to send you for blood test if you still have fever
