    • How do you get copper (II) nitrate? Can you use copper oxide(insoluble) and HNO3? or must you use copper oxide?

    • Copper(II) + Nitric Acid --> Copper(II) nitrate + Water + Nitrogen Dioxide.

      Cu +  4HNO3 --> Cu(NO3)2 + 2H2O + 2NO2

      eh, no,i was asking whether copper oxide is suitable for getting the salt.... just tell me whether it's a yes or no. thanks anyway!
